Sewer System Smoke Testing May 14 – 20 in Ocean Pines

Worcester County Public Works Water and Wastewater (WWW) Division will conduct smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system from May 14 – 20, 2025. Streets to be included are Chatham Ct, Potomac Ave, Central Parke E, Arcadia Ct, Freeport Ln, Fort Sumter S, Federal Hill, Long Point Ct, Carnegie Place, Hatteras St, Points Reach, Bluewater Ct, Parkside Cir, Pine Forest Dr, Tidewater Cove, Port Arthur Ct, Charleston Rd, Piedmont Ct, and Beaumont Ct. 

Temporary Water Outage Around 1264 Ocean Parkway During Emergency Repair

Snow Hill, Maryland – Worcester County Public Works will shut off water in the area of 1264 Ocean Parkway to repair a leaking water valve on Monday, April 21. 
Water service for an estimated 100 homes in the surrounding areas of Ocean Parkway, Bearberry Rd, Salt Grass Rd, and Charleston Rd will be affected for approximately 6-8 hours, while crews make the repair. Low pressure may also be exhibited in Glen Riddle as part of this temporary water outage. Two nearby trees may need to be removed as part of the repair.

Manklin Creek and Cathell Roads to be Paved in April

Snow Hill, Maryland – Worcester County Public Works has contracted with Allan Myers to mill and pave Manklin Creek and Cathell Roads in Ocean Pines this April.

April 21, crews will begin milling and paving Manklin Creek Road. Public Works crews recommend using Cathell Road as an alternate route during this paving project, which should take five to seven days to complete.

Delmarva Power's energy efficiency team will be there to help customers sign up for energy savings programs and provide information about energy assistance programs.

Portion of Bishopville Road closed - rescheduled till March 18th

UPDATE: Bishopville Road repairs rescheduled to March 18 due to unanticipated delay

Wednesday, March 12, a portion of Bishopville Road will be closed while crews replace a failed crossroad pipe. The project should take one day to complete. DETOUR: Motorists can utilize MD Rt. 113 to Peerless Road to Campbelltown Road. For more information, please call the Roads Division at 410-632-2244.
