Construction Closure of Old Ferry Landing Area 

Registration is open for Worcester County Recreation & Parks fall youth leagues.

The Youth Outdoor Soccer League and Youth Field Hockey League will kick-off in September. The Soccer League is open to children ages 3 through 8th grade, while Field Hockey is open to children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Worcester County Recreation & Parks (WCRP) will host the 10th annual Tee Off for Youth Golf Tournament and Fundraiser on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Ocean City Golf Club.

Join WCRP for a wonderful day of golf. Check-in and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. A shotgun start will follow at 1:00 p.m.

Motorists Should Expect Delays During Overnight Work Hours

There is still time before the inaugural meeting of the Police Accountability Board this fall for area residents to apply to serve on the Administrative Charging Committee.

Worcester County Government (WCG) offices, including the Central Landfill in Newark, Homeowner Convenience Centers, Worcester County Recreation Center (WCRC), and the five branch libraries, will be closed Monday, September 5, 2022, for the Labor Day holiday.

WCG offices will resume standard operating hours Tuesday, September 6. WCG staff wish one and all a happy and safe holiday weekend.

Snow Hill, Maryland (August 15, 2022) – The Worcester County Commissioners appointed Nicholas Rice to serve as the procurement officer with Worcester County Government (WCG). On August 15, Rice stepped into this newly-created position, which was approved in the FY23 WCG operating budget.

Berlin MD-Effective 9 AM, Thursday August 4th, the regular Lifeguarded Swimming area at North Ocean Beach in the Maryland District of Assateague Island National Seashore is now open as normal. 

The Isle of Wight Center, located at the intersection of U.S. Rt. 90 and St. Martins Neck Road, will be closed for one day on July 20, 2022 to replace the facility’s HVAC units.
